    About Tonia

    Tonia was the classroom music teacher at Bialik College's Early Learning Centre from 2014 to 2018. She has a Bachelor of Education (Music) from Melbourne University and is a qualified somatic therapist.

     

    She has also had teaching roles at Elwood College, Marion College and North Richmond Community Centre.

     

    Tonia's primary instrument is the flute but she plays guitar, piano, violin and a lot more. She has performed live from small corner pubs to major festival stages to the State Theatre. Her musical expression includes classical, jazz, rock, urban folk and ambient.

     

    She has produced two CDs under the Oxygen Music label and established a successful music therapy business in Canada before returning home to Melbourne.

     

    Tonia is a registered teacher (VIT 175975) and has working with children approval.

    Timing

    30-minutes each at 9:00 am, 10:00 am and 11:00 am AEST on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

    No fee is payable

    Requirements

    A carer must be present during the class to assist. Having a drum, chopsticks, a shaker and a scarf available would be great. The back of a pot, rice in a paper bag and any piece of clothing can also do the trick.
